The school provides a very well balanced curriculum to cater for students wishing to pursue a university course as well as those wishing to take up an apprenticeship or join the workforce as soon as they leave school. To this end we have some students completing university subjects in their final school year, others doing school based apprenticeships or traineeships, students completing a high level academic course and students completing a course of the vocational non-authority subjects. Technology plays an important role in the delivery of our curriculum and the school is well set up with computers in laboratories and in the classrooms and personnel to maintain these.

Highlights of the year away from the academic arena are such events as the School Musical, Swimming and Athletics Carnivals, our very own Forty of the Toughest Challenge, Debating and Public Speaking, and award winning performances from our Concert and Stage Bands.

Nerang State High provides students with every opportunity to have experienced a well rounded and balanced education that prepares them to have the confidence and knowledge to succeed as young adults. We believe that if we use our school motto ’Seek Within and Strive Beyond’ as a guide to school endeavours then the best possible will be achieved.
