I am very proud of the achievements of our students over a wide range of academic, cultural and sporting pursuits. Our school has been serving the Nerang comminity for over thirty years and has developed a reputation of providing high quality education for the secondary students who live in our community.
The school provides a well-balanced curriculum to cater for students wishing to pursue university courses, as well as those looking to take up an apprenticeship or join the workforce upon leaving school. To this end, we have some students completing university subjects in their final year school, along with students who are solely focussed on finishing a high level academic course, while others are undertaking school based apprenticeships or traineeships and also students completing a course of vocational subjects at school. Technology plays an important role in the delivery of our curriculum and the school is well set up with computers in laboratories and in the classrooms, along with a well-supported BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program. Highlights of the year away from the academic arena are such events as the School Musical, Swimming and Athletics Carnivals, Debating, Public Speaking, and performances from our Concert Band, Funk Band and Drumline.
Nerang High provides students with every opportunity to have a well-rounded education that prepares them to have the confidence and knowledge to succeed as young adults. We believe our school motto, Seek Within... Strive Beyond, is a guide to ensuring our students achieve their very best.
