​​If you wish to apply for enrolment at Nerang State High school for your child to commence as soon as possible, we need to arrange an interview.

Before we can schedule a suitable date for you, we require some information about your child, and also to ensure your residence is within Nerang High School's catchment area.

Preliminary enrolment form 

Please complete and return the preliminary enrolment form

Additional documents for proof of address / legislative requirements 

We also require the following documents to be returned with the preliminary enrolment form.

  • Proof of residency to demonstrate student's principal place of residency falls within our catchment area (Primary Source) - Current Lease Agreement OR Rates Notice with your stated address on it
  • Proof of residency as above (Secondary Source) - Utility Bill OR Drivers Licence with your stated address on it
  • Your child's Birth Certificate (or acceptable official documentary evidence of your child's date of birth - eg Medicare immunisation letter or Passport)
  • Your child's last two School Academic Reports
  • A copy of any medical records or diagnostic results related to your child e.g., a diagnosis of ADHD, ASD, asthma, allergies etc
  • IF APPLICABLE* - proof that at least one of the parents has Australian citizenship
  • IF APPLICABLE - Appropriate visas 
  • IF APPLICABLE - A copy of any current court orders or legal documents eg parenting orders, custody orders, DVO paperwork

Once we have received the documents above, we will contact you via phone or email to book a suitable interview time and date with the appropriate Deputy Principal.

*It is a Commonwealth Government proviso that for Australian births after 20 August 1986, that the child's birth certificate must be accompanied by evidence that, at the time of birth, at least one of the parents was an Australian citizen.
