Uniform Shop Covid 19 Operating Guidelines

The P&C has been discussing how to operate our Uniform shop through January, keeping in mind Covid 19. We look forward to serving you as quickly as possible, within the guidelines provided. At the time of writing, the borders were not yet open, so this is just a general guide, as things may change. However, we will all require a bit of patience and a sense of humour no matter what happens!

There are no specific guidelines at present, good hygiene practices should be maintained at all times.

When coming into the school to purchase uniforms, please follow the following guidelines-

• Please sanitize hands before entering with sanitizer provided.
• Take a number, wait outside until you are called.
• Limited numbers in the shop at any time.
• All siblings not involved in fittings to wait outside or left at home, if possible, please.

To help reduce congestion and wait times, we suggest –

• Order online through Flexischools where possible if you know the correct sizes. We will have someone giving out pre-paid orders.
• May I suggest trying on now, purchasing, leaving them with the tags on and wait to try on again just before school begins. If kids have grown and items need to be exchanged, then do so. If not, you are good to go. Do not wash or remove tags until you are happy with what you have purchased.
• Try on now, take note of sizes and order online in January.
• Please try to purchase and sell second hand uniforms through the Parents of Nerang High Facebook page. We will have a limited amount available here and we may not always be able to have them available. Please note the school office does not open until Monday 17th January. The uniform staff are unable to help with school credits or Centrelink queries.

Please be aware, if you wait until the first day of school to be fitted for, and purchase uniforms, the wait time will be long. Historically we have many parents arriving on the day school starts, wanting their student to be fitted and in class by 9 am. This just will not happen.

Please be polite to our staff and Volunteers, who are giving up their holiday time to help. We are all doing our best under unusual circumstances.
